Photographing  Hunter and Layne dance and laugh as a storm came in on the rocks at Hanging Rock State Park for their engagement session in NC was incredible! It’s a pretty good hike up to the lookout and these two didn’t hesitate when mentioned this location after they saw the view.

When we got to the top we could see a thunderstorm rolling in. Luckily it missed us, but we still got an epic sky with deep colors and insane clouds. After the storm blew past us the sun came back out and illuminated the rest of their session. It was so gorgeous we lost track of time and ending up taking photos until the sun completely went down. Haha! Hiking back to the cars in the dark was totally worth it! The images at the end with smoke bombs, blurry kissing, and laughing are some of our favorites!

These two lovebirds are tying the knot this Fall and we are so pumped for their day. Having known Hunter’s family for years, capturing all her siblings weddings already, this will definitely make their day extra special. Getting to see all of the familiar faces is always a perk of the job and this one will be one heck of a celebration!
