Martha and Edward traveled from their home in London, England to have their wildflower engagement session in Charlotte, NC! They were making the trip home for some family events since Martha grew up in North Carolina and her family is still here. She had tons of memories playing in the wildflowers. So when we mentioned them she was excited. The Fall in NC always brings fields upon fields of these yellow flowers. You can be driving along and just stumble upon them on the side of the road. And that is exactly how we found this field. As we drove by we noticed it would be great at sunrise and that was perfect for these two!
These two were the cutest and we are so pumped for their wedding day this September. We will be celebrating with them among the intimate gardens of McGill Rose Garden. Sitting just outside of Uptown, Charlotte, it is a lovely spot for an intimate wedding and reception. It really is a hidden gem inside the heart of of the city and certainly one of our favorite venues.
There are over 500 rose bushes within the confines of the garden that were planted in the 1960’s. It became a public park in 1972 and is now a non-profit organization that holds many events throughout the year. These include many weddings but also they hold classes and offer a place for local artists to portray structural art pieces. It’s open to the public and totally worth a walkthrough!
