When you start an engagement session at the Hudson Tunnel in West Village in New York City, you know it’s going to be a good day. Molly and JB took the train over from their Hoboken apartment, and met us at the Christopher Street Station where our shoot began. Right under the streets of West Village. We kicked things off with some beautiful slow-exposure shots, capturing the rush of trains and the motion of New Yorkers weaving past. It was the perfect mix of city energy and romantic anticipation.
Up the station steps, we were greeted by golden winter light spilling onto Christopher Street. West Village is always charming. But this day was magic. The sun was shining on a chilly afternoon, warming up the tree-lined streets just enough to make every photo glow. We wandered past iconic brownstones, paused on stoops (because you can’t shoot in West Village without a stoop moment), and followed little pockets of light as they filtered through the trees.
Molly and JB were effortlessly cool—laughing, holding hands, and occasionally stopping to point out their favorite spots. These weren’t just photo locations; they were pieces of their life together. Every corner seemed to tell a story.
We wrapped up the session at none other than Bleecker Street Pizza. Where JB proudly declared it the best pizza in New York City. After an hour of shooting, a hot slice felt like heaven.
From subway vibes to sunset stoops and a pizza finale, this West Village engagement session was pure New York romance. If you’re looking for photos that feel like you—fun, stylish, and full of life—let’s make it happen.

We didn’t finish here either! After pizza we headed back out for sunset and then headed to The Spaniard in West Village for drinks. Stay tuned for more and for their beautiful wedding at The Hudson House!
