Winter inspired weddings with hints of Christmas are always some of our favorites! We love Christmas and any way we can drag out the twinkling lights and the smell of pine, we will! So when we booked Alex and Kelsey’s wedding at The Venue in Asheville in December we were so excited!

We arrived at The Windsor Boutique where Alex and Kelsey were getting ready in the morning. We began capturing Kelsey and the bridesmaids in the room where they were getting ready. Everyone was relaxing and enjoying the morning festivities. Kelsey was finishing up hair and makeup as her sweet puppy hung close to her throughout the morning. The girls even took a little break to jump on the bed! Laughter immediately filled the room as the girls lost their footings and had to hold on to one another. haha!

Joe made his way to the guys and they grabbed some craft beers at local breweries. That’s one of the best parts of getting married in downtown Asheville. In downtown alone there are 26 craft breweries and the region is home to 60! So if you are a beer connoisseur or even if you just enjoy beer, Asheville is a great place for a wedding!

Kelsey and Alex had a little first look in the hotel and then we took photos with the wedding party around downtown. The wedding venue, called The Venue, where the ceremony was is a modern, industrial style venue with brick walls. The candle lit ceremony and reception definitely fit their the winter wedding vibe!
