As we began to plan out our travels this year we knew we were going to be spending a good bit of time on Long Island throughout the Summer. After we announced our plans on Instagram, Aimee contacted us. She was thinking about having her and Ezra’s engagement photos in Sag Harbor.
We had never ventured out to that part of the island before. So we were thrilled when we were able to do their session during an August trip.
We had a busy weekend planned. Right before their session we photographed a wedding on Friday in Morristown, NJ (coming to the blog soon!) and then a wedding at Bedell Cellars on Saturday in Cutchogue, NY. (coming to the blog soon too!)
Sunday we took the day and went on a delicious food tour in one of our all time favorite towns, Greenport, NY. We have done this a couple times as some of you may have seen on our IG stories. Basically we go around to several of the different restaurants and bars and just pig out! haha! We try as many different foods and drinks as we possibly can. It’s quite an amazing time and we highly recommend it.
We made our way to the lovely town of Sag Harbor for Aimee and Ezra’s engagement session after we walked through a sunflower maze near Greenport! It was quite a mesmerizing and beautiful way to start the morning. We made it to the beach super early in the afternoon and were able to catch a quick nap in “Vanny“(that’s what we call our camper van). We worked a little bit and answered some emails too. It’s so nice be able to recharge in the van. Also, to have a mobile office with us at all times is super convenient. Just having everything we need right there is one of favorite things about traveling in it!
Having both been lifeguards, at Foster Memorial Beach many years ago, this was a very special place for them. As we started taking photos we could tell Ezra was a bit apprehensive about being in front of the camera. But after a few minutes of us talking, and a little tickling from Aimee, he began to realize we were there to make them have a good time. By the end they were laughing and playing and forgot about us even being there! Although, we aren’t sure Aimee told him that they would be getting in the chilly water with their clothes on! haha! It was beautiful to watch their chemistry come alive right in front our camera!
Aimme and Ezra, thank you for being so much fun and letting us into your lives for a quick evening session. It was a true pleasure. We hope you all enjoy!
