We recently had the pleasure of shooting a wedding on Long Island in Greenport, NY. We ended up getting into the town a little late and exploring a few restaurants and the local speakeasy. One of the highlights was staying in this unique and intimate hotel, The Gallery Hotel. From their 70’s decor to the quaint outdoor breakfast garden it was right up our alley! Everyone was very welcoming and it made our short 24 hour stay even better! We had to share our experience and if you ever find yourself strolling down the streets of Greenport definitely make these few stops…
One of favorite eateries was Rolling in Dough Pizza. We actually ate here twice…Haha! No shame! Although we were stuffed after dinner, the night we got into town, we stopped in here to have a drink. We saw the brick oven and the delicious meatballs. It was fate; we had to give them a try! They were bubbling, cheesy, gooey goodness! The meatballs were so good that we knew the pizza would be just as tasty. So, the next day we stopped back by for lunch and they didn’t disappoint. Of course, we chose their original pepperoni and cheese. Simply perfection.
Our last stop right before the wedding was recommended to us by the owner of the hotel, Rocky Point Beach, and it was breathtaking! When you pull up and get out of the car you are not expecting what you are about to see. You walk up to this little wooden staircase and all of a sudden a small beach appears over a huge cliff drop off. There wasn’t sand. It was covered in little white pebbles, huge boulders, and the water was deep blue. We only had about twenty minutes to grab a few photos with the camera and drone but this is definitely one area we will be coming back too!
