Joe has always been so much better at surprises than me. So when he surprised me for our anniversary in this amazing A frame house, close to Yosemite National Park, with our best friends, I was speechless! It was PERFECT! The first night we arrived we spent the evening roasting marshmallows, drinking wine by the fire and gazing at all of the stars. In the morning it was so chilly we could see our breath. But we all bundled up and drank coffee on the porch as we watched the sun come up. The light danced through the trees and we were in heaven. The next few days we spent hiking in Yosemite and then relaxing and soaking up the sun here at Far Meadow. The caretaker has the sweetest dog named Awesome and he hung out with us most of the time. Even coming in and laying on our beds and relaxing on our floor. He made us feel so welcome.

We are still reminiscing about our romantic, anniversary getaway. We can’t help but think of how beautiful a Far Meadow wedding would be or even a Yosemite elopement! Who knows maybe we will renew our vows here one day. We will spend the night dancing under the stars with all our family and friends! Ahhh a girl can dream can’t she? haha!
