This dreamy North Carolina engagement session with Sarah,  Chris, and their sweet chocolate lab, Hootie, was beautiful! And yes Hootie is named after Hootie & the Blowfish! A little fun fact too, Sarah and Chris danced to Hootie & the Blowfish at their wedding.  I mean if your dog is named Hootie how could you not. haha! Their wedding was just this past Saturday at Vanlandingham Estate. One of Charlotte’s newest and finest wedding venues. It was our first time there and also our first wedding of the year. It felt so great to get behind the cameras again! Stay tuned for some sneak peeks on our Instagram soon!

Some of our favorite shots are from above and you can see how amazing these turned out.  The golden light shined perfectly on the brown and green tall grasses and made the perfect color palette. Pretty hard to believe this session was in the Fall after most of the color had left the trees too! We love the warmth of the golden browns and oranges right at sunset. This was one of those days where the sun just stayed the perfect shade of gold all session long.

Hootie is so cute and makes us want a dog so bad! Since we are on the road so much it would be hard for us to have one, so it’s always fun to hang out with everyone else’s dogs at sessions!!
