The Blue Ridge mountains were calling. It was one of the first cool evenings of the summer in the mountains for Shannon and Brandon’s Max Patch engagement near Asheville, NC. We drove our van up and planned on spending the night under the stars after their session. We happen to get up to the top a bit early, which rarely happens with us anywhere. haha! So did Shannon & Brandon. We both just happen to have coolers stocked with our favorite adult beverages, white claws among a few others, and thought it was only proper to start the evening off. A couple of cold ones before the hike and photos definitely helps!

We loved being able to relax and talk with them beforehand. It felt like it only set the stage for how much fun we were all about to have. Hands down, one of the most fun evenings we have ever had behind the camera and we think that shows in their photos and video! We cannot wait for Shannon and Brandon’s wedding next year. With these two behind the camera there is bound to be so many fun photographs!

The sun had already set but they were still having such a blast! We love taking photos that just a tad blurry, especially when there is a lot of movement already happening. These few at the end of them dancing and Shannon flying on Brandon’s back are some of our favorites!

Max Patch is an awesome location for an engagement session right outside of Asheville, NC! We hope to be back soon, at least to camp! Next time we will definitely pack our tent and camp at the top. We bet sunrise is just as beautiful as sunset and with a coffee in hand we don’t see how it could get much better!
