This is our first trip to Mystic, CT and Mason’s Island Yacht Club for a wedding and we love it! The venue is right on the water and perfection for photos. Ashley and Colin wanted a low key ceremony overlooking the sound. The view of the water and boats passing by was awesome.
Ashley wore a bohemian inspired, crochet wedding dress from BHLDN and it fit her perfectly. It was also easy for her to move in so when we suggested to them jumping out on these rocks that stuck out in the water she didn’t mind! They were up for the adventure and didn’t hesitate. They snuggled close for these dreamy sunset images and they are some of our all time favorites.
We love how they incorporated tons of sea glass into their wedding day. They used it on tables for decor and we put their rings in piles of them. It was a unique and sweet little detail that we enjoyed capturing.
We hope you enjoy their Mason’s Island Yacht Club wedding as much as we did!
Ahh it was a gorgeous day! We were lucky enough to spend more than just a day in Mystic. We got to explore the quaint little town and indulged in the famous Mystic Pizza where the film Mystic Pizza was filmed. If you have ever heard of it, it’s the movie that put Julie Roberts on the map as an actress. We enjoyed a pie here and they even play the movie on repeat so you can watch it as you dine. We also ate our favorite Italian meal of all time at Anthony J’s. We’re still dream about this meal. haha!
See you soon Mystic!
