Atalaya Castle and Caledonia Golf and Fish Club are both gorgeous wedding venues near Murrells Inlet! When Katlyn and Nate suggested them for their engagement session we were pumped. We just finished up a wedding in Charleston the day before (check it out here), which is about an hour and half drive away. We drive all over the place, especially now since we have our van, so it was easy and scenic drive. This was our first time to Atalaya Castle although we’ve heard about it for years. When Katlyn and Nate arrived we shot around the grounds and even found a snake skin in the ivy on the wall in the first photo. Eeek! Luckily there wasn’t a snake to go with the snake skin, haha, so it was all good.
We then hopped back in the car and ventured down to Pawley’s Island. We captured Katlyn and Nate in the canopy of Live Oaks on the grounds of the Caledonia Golf and Fish Club. They also had their sweet puppy with them and he joined the photos too!
Willow is one of the cutest dogs we’ve photographed! She’s a miniature Australian Shepherd and so sweet. I mean look at her sweet blue eyes and how precious she is? We really wanted to steal her and take her home with us. haha!
Willow dancing with her mom was adorable. We cannot get enough of this pup and all her cutestness! Of course we couldn’t get enough of Katlyn and Nate too. haha!!
We love capturing weddings along the beach and little islands in South Carolina. We live so close but we still feel like we’re getting a little vacation every time we capture someone’s love story here. It’s always beautiful for photos and never feels like work!
