Jennifer and Ryan’s Carrigan Farms wedding is one we will never forget! Not only because it was a beautiful day but because hurricane Florence was making it’s way up the coast of the Carolina’s. But they refused to let it mess up their day. We love a challenge and this was certainly going to be a challenge if the predictions for the storm were to change at any point but luckily they did not. It was very windy and cloudy throughout the day but the rain held off until the reception. Which is what we were all keeping our fingers crossed for. Carrigan Farms is a beautiful family owned farm which has a gorgeous quarry on the property with a waterfall. The venue is a unique spot for a ceremony with the white rocks, white sand, and deep blue water. It’s whimsical and breathtaking!

Despite the anticipation and the anxiety about the hurricane before the wedding, the actual wedding day went off without a hitch! The day was beautiful and the ceremony was awesome. The quarry was perfection for their outdoor wedding and everyone had a blast celebrating the newly weds. We always tell our couples to do what THEY want to do on their big day. If it’s sprinkling out and they want to have an outdoor ceremony, still go for it! Guests will come with umbrellas and it will be exactly the way you want it to be. Don’t let the weather ruin your day. Embrace it, and have a blast! It will be a part of the memories you have together and unique to your story! We love how Jennifer and Ryan did exactly that and we were honored to capture their day!
