Aurelia and Jonathan had a very traditional church wedding ceremony in Salisbury, NC and then had the most unique block party style reception on one of the streets in downtown! They first met back in 2008 at a party at a college where neither of them attended. haha! They said they locked eyes from across the room, went to Waffle House afterwards, messaged one another on MySpace (remember myspace? haha), and the rest is history!
The theme of their wedding was definitely “Block Party” with an emphasis on PARTY! The day was full of color, confetti, and a little rain shower! They really had a blast and when you see how romantic and fun these reception images are you will be wanting a block party reception too! From the ceremony they had trolley’s bring guests to the street where the festivities were. Aurelia and Jon had their first dance in the middle of the street on top of the chalk street art they had handmade with their names on it. As their dance came to an end, all the guest threw confetti over them as they kissed! It was epic! Not long after they finished parent dances a huge thunderstorm blew in. Guests grab a drink at the drink truck and headed to the trolleys to wait out the storm. Luckily it blew by quickly.
Everyone was back in the street dancing in no time and Aurelia and Jon even took off their shoes and jumped in the puddles! IT WAS AWESOME! They embraced the weather and didn’t let it ruin their day! They had tons of food trucks to choose from including our favorite an ice cream truck! Friends even surprised Aurelia and Jon at the end of the night with Krispy Kreme donuts!
